Marc Marquez took a test day with a Honda RC213V-S in Protimau, Portugal, and confirmed after 65 laps that he had no vision problems.

The eight-time world champion drove the first laps on the racetrack after winning the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in Imola last October.

The Honda racer was happy to return to the racing motorcycle, and even more so that he did not have double vision problems, which forced him to miss the last race of the 2021 season.

Marquez will now focus on his physical fitness to take part in winter tests in Malaysia early next month.

“I am very happy to be able to get back on the bike and the racetrack,” the Spaniard said. “I am also happy that we confirmed the feelings I had with motocross. I feel a lot of relief at this, as I didn’t have any vision problems while driving. However, since I haven’t driven for so long, I’m missing some physical fitness, but that’s just a result of not being able to prepare the way I normally would.

For me, it is an intense day with a lot of driving, and I am very pleased with the results. I have two weeks until the tests, so by then I will be stepping up my physical preparations and training on a motorcycle, ”he added.
