DTM Series champion Marco Wittmann earned a Formula One race car test after winning the said championship this year. Otherwise, this is an award from BMW, with which Wittmann signed a new multi-year contract.
BMW boss Jens Marquardt said that it was a great season for Marco, in which BMW took it to a new peak: “He has done a lot for us this season, and now is the time for us to reward him as well. We extended his contract, which is a logical step, as he has been working hard for us for three years. In addition, we also made his dream come true, as he will be able to pass a test of a Formula One car.
In collaboration with Red Bull, we thus arranged a test at Toro Rosso. We'll see how fast it will be, how quickly it will adapt and then use it in the BMW M4 DTM. .
