Eight-time world champion Marc Marquez will return to the MotoGP paddock as part of the Austrian Grand Prix, where he will meet with his team and factory Honda members in the Honda garage.

"Honda is at a turning point," said the Spaniard. "I talk a lot with the team and try to understand this year's bike and what's going on. Therefore, I will travel to Austria, where I will talk to everyone, and meet HRC staff from Japan, with whom we will work on the future. We work together, we win and lose together, and we will come back together."

Marquez explained that he is also often in contact with test and reserve racer Stefan Bradl, who is testing innovations with his work in the team. "I said in Mugello that I would be at home, but I want to stay connected. I didn't connect with the previous team enough, but this time I would like to be connected so that everything will be fresh when I return," said the Spaniard, who also spoke about the recovery process after the hand operation he underwent ten weeks ago. "Step by step I feel better, the bone is healing nicely, which is the best news of all. I'm still in the recovery phase, but on the other hand, I'm working on conditioning to be ready. I have another check-up at the end of August, and there we will be able to take a new step in recovery, when we can start building more muscle mass."

The Honda racer did not want to talk about when he could return, but says he is optimistic. “I'm optimistic, but I don't want to make too many predictions about the timeline until I have that review. For now, we mustn't rush too much, because I waited too long for the feelings I have."
