Saturday’s horrific Formula 2 crash at Spa claimed the life of young French racer Anthoin Hubert, another suffered leg and spine injuries. But Sean Gelael could also be injured in the crash if there was no head protection in front of his cabin called a halo. Namely, Gelael was one of the racers who drove past the site of the fatal collision, which left many parts of the race cars on the track. One of the larger particles flew straight towards his head, but was bounced away by the halo, thus preventing injuries.
