Lotus boss Eric Boullier is confident that they can provide Kimi Raikkonen with what he asks of them by the end of the week, but he hopes it won't be too late by then.
The future of Ice Finn is a hot topic in Formula One circles. It is rumored that the 2007 champion will return to Ferrari next season, while they still want him at Lotus. The Finn has demanded assurances from current employers that the team will have a big enough budget next season to be able to fight for the title more seriously. Boullier said he will be able to present the required package to his racer by the end of this week.
“This weekend in Monza, I informed Kimi and his manager about the course of events, and I’m sure by the end of the week I will also be able to have answers to everything they ask for,” Boullier said. “From there, however, I think we will be able to talk about the next season very quickly,” he added.
