Current world champion Jorge Lorenzo has stepped on the podium for the hundredth time in his racing career. Nevertheless, he finished the race third as the Hondas were too strong.

"Victory is victory, third place is third place, ”Said Jorge Lorenzo, world motoGP world champion, adding that this was a great success for him, as he never believed that he would succeed.  The years go by quickly, I remember the first victories as it was yesterday, it was in Brazil in 2003, ten years ago, and today I am at number 100."

The Spaniard has had a string of excellent results over the last two years, as third place in the last race was the Spanish racer’s worst ranking after Indianapolis in 2011 when he finished fourth.
