Liber joint winner of the Gorjanci

Italian Federico Liber is the joint winner of two runs of the Gorjanci mountain speed race after the favorite, Tiziano Riva, resigned. With a total time of 3: 25.92, he celebrated the victory with just under three seconds of advantage over two Czechs, Vaclav Janik, and Peter Trnko, who was a second and a half more behind the winner.

Among Slovenians, Vladimir Stankovič was expected to be the fastest in the overall standings, while Aleš Prek (Honda Type R) won the national championship, ahead of Matej Grudnik (Renault Twingo RS) and Peter Marco (Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX).

Andrej Prelc (Suzuki Swift) took the top step in the national championship of Division I, Aleš Žakelj (Zastava Yugo 65) won second place, and Janko Čebron (MG ZR 105) was third.
