Leclerc resigned from the race in Spain due to an engine failure

Charles Leclerc took the lead at the start of the race and only increased his advantage in the lead from round to round. The Ferrari racer took the lead in the 28th lap with more than a ten-second lead over Georg Russell and Max Verstappn, when he had to finish the race early due to a failure of Ferrari's power unit.

Monacan resigned with a resignation, while Verstappen overtook Russell and won the race, taking the lead in the 2022 championship standings with six points.
