Latvali, however, succeeded at home

On the last day of the race in Finland, the home team Jari-Matti Latvala defended a good 3 seconds advantage over Ogier, and so it remained after the last three speed trials. Finca's final advantage over Ogier was thus 3,6 seconds. However, the Frenchman Ogier overtook Latvalo by a tenth of a second in the power stage. In the overall standings of the WRC championship, the race on the Finnish macadam did not bring significant changes. Volkswagen's dominance continues, except that Latval recorded his third victory this year, but he is still far behind Ogier in the overall standings, as he won the other five races. Norwegian Mikkelsen, a member of Volkswagen's second team, finished in fourth place, but he has already achieved quite a few excellent results this year. Kris Meeke finished in third place, but he was also the only one who, in addition to Ogier, was also the only one who was less than a minute behind the winner.
