KTM announced cooperation with Mobil 1

Starting this year, the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer will rely on the extensive experience of its new technical partner Mobil 1 in the MotoGP class. It is a world-renowned manufacturer of engine lubricants and oil filters, which is part of the ExxonMobil corporation.

Motorcycles in MotoGP will have to use a new, sustainable fuel next season, which will have to contain at least 40 percent of components of non-fossil origin, and by 2027 the fuel will have to be 100 percent sustainable and must not contain fossil components.

ExxonMobil is a major name in the industry as well as motorsports with a large presence in racing and we know we will be counting on their premium lubricants for our Red Bull KTM RC16. They have a similar mindset to us when it comes to striving for the highest level and best performance, which also translates into our goals for the future where we really want to be part of this shift in MotoGP sustainability with racing fuels. We look forward to representing Mobil lubricants in MotoGP competition.”
