At the MXGP championship race in France, Klemen Gerčar, the only Slovenian representative in this class, reached 25th and 26th place. He did not score any new points, but he is returning from France with better feelings.
A test in France showed that work on training in Belgium paid off, otherwise this is not seen in the result, but it is important for Klemen's feeling on the motorcycle. “The result was very similar to the race in the UK. But the feelings are even better, we played a lot with the suspension settings and now I always feel better on a motorcycle. The starts on both rides were not optimal, but then I still lack some self-confidence, confidence in the motorcycle to get down to more risky overtaking. In racing, this can be crucial, but I work on it, the more I trust the motorcycle, the more I trust myself. The little things decide in the races, and the more reliable the ride, the less mistakes there are, the better the results will be, "said Klemen after the race.
His next test will be next weekend at the German ADAC Championship race in Bilstein, followed by the next MXGP race in Italy on 14 June. "I'm looking forward to the race in Italy in Maggora, which was probably also visited by many Slovenian fans, so I will race there for them as well," Klemen added.
