The legendary Isle of Man TT race claimed its second fatality this year. For the Frenchman Olivier Lavorel, the fatal consequences of the accident in the opening race of the trailers were fatal.

The XNUMX-year-old played the role of a companion to Cesar Chanel. The latter was accidentally taken to a hospital in Liverpool and is currently in critical condition.

The accident happened after a good kilometer of the first lap of the race on Ag's jump. This is the second death in the race this year, after Mark Purslow passed away in training three days ago.

For Lavorel and Chanel, this was their first appearance in this race, despite being a seasoned racer with victories in the French F1 and F2 trailer championship races.

“The organizers of the Isle of Man TT race announce that Olivier Lavorel has died as a result of an accident in a trailer race. We express our sincere condolences to the family and relatives. At the moment, our thoughts and good wishes are also with César, who is in critical condition. ”

After the accident, the race was interrupted and the rest of the daily program was canceled.
