Maverick Vinales, after winning the best starting position for the Grand Prix of the Americas and winning Saturday's MotoGP sprint race, also set the fastest warm-up time before the main race.

Once again, compatriot Marc Marquez on Ducati came closest to him, while Raul Fernandez achieved an excellent third time. Jorge Martin was fourth and Alex Marquez fifth, while Pedro Acosta finished the race preparations in sixth place. The seventh and eighth times were set by KTM factory team racers Brad Binder and Jack Miller, and we also saw Franco Morbidelli and Aleix Espargaro in the top ten.

Enea Bastianini was behind Vinales' time by 0.999 seconds, while current world champion Pecco Bagnaia was only fifteenth.
