In the third practice run today, the track record among touring vehicles fell!

There are 80 drivers on tomorrow's race starting list. If in the first run the drivers flirted even more shyly with the track, in the second they were more trusting of it and achieved faster results, and in the third the Swiss Ronnie Bratschi surpassed himself again, breaking his (last year's) track record last year. touring vehicles. In the absolute competition, we will obviously see a fierce battle for victory between the Czech Vaclav Janik and the Italian Federico Liber tomorrow. Among the Slovenes, Vladimir Stankovič proved to be the best in the first and second training sessions, but resigned in the third.

The hero of today's training is the Swiss Ronnie Bratschi, who already today managed to break his (last year's set) track record. Last year he crossed the track with a time of 2: 13.55, and this year a few tenths faster, as at the finish the clock stopped at 2 minutes, 13 seconds and 17 hundredths. He finished training in 6th place overall.

In the absolute competition, the favorites proved to be the best in the absolute competition, both already winners on the Lučin route, the Czech Vaclav Janik and the Italian Federico Liber. Liber was again the fastest in the second run in the absolute competition, Vaclav Janik finished his training closely behind him, and Alessandro Tinaburri reached the third fastest time. But the third run shuffled Liber's plans, as Stankovic resigned on the track in front of him (who otherwise won the first two training sessions in the competition of domestic racers), so Liber landed in second place and came first (only 8 hundredths behind Liber's). last year's track record) swung Vaclav Janik.

Czech Petr Trnka was in third place after the third run, and Alessandro Tinaburri was in fourth. So tomorrow we will have a hot Czech-Italian match.

Vladimir Stankovič was the fastest among the domestic drivers, but resigned in the third. Milan Bubnič, the leader in the Slovenian national championship until Lučin, was damaged by a technical malfunction in the second training session, and did not perform in the third training session. If the nature of the defect is such that he will be able to race tomorrow, the national title with the Lučina race has almost certainly been handed over, otherwise Peter Marc, who is currently second, currently not third Matej Grudnik in Lučine, will try to cash in all his trump cards.

It may also be interesting in Division 1 of the national championship, where the competition is greatest, and in which Aleš Žakelj - Kafečk retains the lead. Janko Čebron and Primož Tavčar showed good runs today, but finally Gregor Jurak also managed some great performances, as he did not have the best luck in the first three races to Lučine.
The fight will be extremely tense in all groups, and the mountain speed test of Lučina 2016 in Poljanska dolina once again promises a top automotive spectacle - perhaps one of the most ardent we have ever seen on the route from Todraž to Lučina. Will Ronnie Bratschi be able to surpass himself again tomorrow, what kind of performances will Federico Liber show, can he touch his record or maybe he really surpasses it? How will the fight in the match for the highest places of the national championship end?
These are all questions to which we will get an answer tomorrow.

The first of the three races will take place tomorrow at 10 am, the opening ceremony will take place at 12.45 pm, the second race will take place at 13 pm and the third run will take place at 15 pm. The winners will be announced and the awards will be presented after 18 p.m.

There will be a free bus ride for visitors on the route, and there are also speed displays along the route, which also catch the highest possible speeds of drivers.
The added value of the race this year is the charity campaign "Let's give a racing smile to children", for which funds are raised by taxi rides with drivers, part of the funds for the Poljane Primary School school fund will also be used for entrance fees and donations of all people of good will.

So there are more than enough reasons to invite you to the epilogue of the mountain speed test this weekend in Lučine! Welcome!
