In the last double point race

Formula 1 racers will get double points in the last race of the championship from the 2014 season onwards. The proposal was adopted by the FIE and the strategic group last week and will send part of the regulations immediately.

The double points will apply to both the individual and the constructor classification.

If the rule had been enforced in previous seasons, the 2008 and 2012 championship titles would have gone into other hands.
In 2008, Felipe Massa’s victory would be enough to stop Lewis Hamilton, while last season Fernando Alonso would beat Sebastian Vettl in second place.
