Andrea Iannone suffered a fall on his motorcycle, an Aprilia RSV4, during testing at the Vallelunga circuit, apparently injuring himself in the process.

Iannone's four-year FIM ban is coming to an end and the Italian is ramping up his preparations, proving he is serious about his return to the big gates. He is rumored to be planning a direct return to MotoGP, but the return to racing form will apparently take a bit longer as he made a mistake and crashed in the fourth lap. Eyewitnesses say that he veered off the racing line while braking in the chicane and fell, and after the fall he felt pain in his shoulder, so he traveled to the hospital for an X-ray.

Doctors later confirmed that the injuries were only mild and that there was no broken collarbone, which Iannone had feared.
