Aleks Humar, the leading Slovenian rally driver, will race at the rally for the European Championship in Belgium on Friday and Saturday. In the competition of more than 100 crews, a new European challenge and one of the fastest and most specific asphalt rallies in Europe awaits him at the famous Ypres Rally. Humar will be read the notes by co-driver Florjan Rus, on 17 speed trials with start number 44 and renault clio R3T.

Aleks Humar, the four-time national rally champion of Slovenia and the leader in this year's national championship, will take part in his third rally for the European championship this season this weekend. After winning the rally in Ajdovščina, Humar has already traveled to one of the greatest asphalt classics of the European rally. This is the Ypres Rally, which will attract not only the competition of the European Championship but also the excellent team of the Belgian National Championship. Humar and his co-driver Florjan Rus will drive their Renault Clio R3T at the fast Belgian rally, and the technical and logistical support will be provided by the Oktan Šport team from Maribor.

"The rally is certainly one of the most specific, but almost all of them are asphalt in this year's European Championship. I know the configuration of the speed tests mainly from the recordings. Speeds are high, there are also many sharp intersections. I have noticed that many bends have no landmarks and the line in them suddenly closes. Racers like to cut corners fairly, so there is often quite a bit of dirt on the road as well. A rally in a very beautiful and tidy environment is definitely waiting for us, as it is a race with a rich tradition. I hope for the best outcome, "said Humar before leaving for Belgium, which will have the starting number 44 on its clio. A total of more than 100 crews have registered for the rally, in Humar's European Championship class ERC 3 (front-wheel drive cars) he drives 18 of them.

The Ypres Rally will start on Friday afternoon with the first seven speed trials, the other ten will be scheduled for Saturday. The total length of the 17 speed trials is 250 kilometers.
