There has been a lot of talk in recent weeks about engines, team transfers to other generator suppliers and the like. Now, however, there has been a lot of talk about reviving the once very successful McLaren-Honda alliance, as the engineers of the latter have already "found their way" to Woking. Of course, no public confirmation has been heard yet, as Whitmarsh has made it clear: “There’s a lot of talk about engines, I’ve heard of Hyundai, Honda and Porsche, but for once I can’t confirm anything yet. In any case, anything is possible in the long run and I hope that all of the above will return to Formula One. All I can tell you for now is that we have a valid contract with our long-term partner, Mercedes-Benz. This also applies to the 2014 and 2015 seasons. "

Toto Wolff from Mercedes has officially warmed up a lot for the long-term extension of his contract with McLarn, but there is nothing official yet. It is also interesting that Honda entered the WTCC at the end of last year, which could indicate that the Japanese want a basis for the development of 1,6-liter turbo engines.

So McLaren could only drive Mercedes engines for the next two seasons, but for now we don't know what awaits us after 2015.
