Mercedes racer Lewis Hamilton has set himself the goal of getting back on the top step again this weekend in Bahrain.

Hamilton won last Sunday in Malaysia. For him, this is his first victory at the Sepang racetrack, but he has previously stood on the podium, namely in 2007 when he won second place and again in 2010 when he finished third.

“For the start of my season, the win in Malaysia was great. First and second place is also a fantastic result for the team and I can’t wait to see what we will show in Bahrain, ”Hamelton said while waiting for the third Formula 1 race for the 2014 World Championship.

“I ended up on the podium a few times, but for some reason I never managed to win. Until last week, this also applied to Malaysia, so I'm keeping my fists up to make it happen this year, ”he added.

Still, Hamilton does not underestimate the competition: "We know it will be difficult to keep the current form, especially since all the teams had a lot of time to train over the winter, but I will do my best to keep the good results that are currently in sight."
