Hamilton soaked qualifiers

Lewis Hamilton got the best starting position for the Malaysian Grand Prix in changing conditions with a lap time of 1: 59.431. The Mercedes racer overtook reigning champion Sebastian Vettl by just 0-055 seconds, while his teammate Nico Rosberg set the third qualifying time.

Fernando Alonso, who broke the front suspension in a collision with Daniil Kvyat in the second part of the qualifiers, was fourth. Australia’s eighth-grader in the race, Daniel Ricciardo, was fifth and Kimi Raikkonen was sixth, more than a second behind Alonso.
