The current Formula 1 world champion, Lewis Hamilton, remained on the racetrack after the race in Imola, as he tested Pirelli's 18-inch tires, which will be in use in the 2022 season, on Tuesday. this year's race car ran 130 laps on them, or a little more than two lengths of race.

Lewis Hamilton drove 18 laps with Pirelli’s 2022-inch tires for the 130 season.

Tomorrow, Hamilton's teammate Valtteri Bottas is waiting for the tire test, and Pirelli will continue the testing program after the race for the Spanish GP next month, when the racers of the Alpine, Red Bull and Alfa Romeo teams will be on the track.

The program will then continue in Austria, Great Britain, Hungary, and in France on the Paul Ricard and Magny Cours.

Pirelli shares the data with all the teams, which is supposed to prevent any of them from gaining an advantage over the others, and the only team that will not test the new tires is Williams.
