After only two weeks of recovery in Thailand, Pol Espargaro is returning to the MotoGP caravan, where he will try to compete in Sunday's race. The Spaniard is recovering from a broken left wrist after falling in the last free practice in Aragon. After the fall, he immediately went for surgery in Barcelona, and then immediately began physiotherapy in a bid to return to the motorcycle as soon as possible.

In Thailand, he will take part in free practice and assess whether he is able to compete in the qualifiers and Sunday's race. In the event that he is unable to continue with the racing weekend, the KTM team will not put a spare racer on his motorcycle. Mika Kallio is already replacing Johann Zarco on the other side of the garage, but Dani Pedrosa has rejected this possibility, as he prefers to dedicate himself entirely to the role of test racer.
