Haas introduced himself

The American team Haas was the first to present its car for the upcoming season. Thanks to the new main sponsor Rich Energy, this time their new black and gold color is completely different.

At the same time, the name of the team, now called the Rich Energy Haas F1 team, has been slightly changed, and an agreement on signing a contract with the British producer of energy drinks was concluded last season. At the event in London, the new color image was presented on a car from last season, and the first photos of the new VF-19 car for the upcoming season were published online.

Thus, it is a completely new image of the car, which has replaced the constant gray, black and red color combination in previous years. Due to the predominant black color on this year’s race car, such details are harder to spot.

Gene Haas said at the presentation:

“We are in a period of the season when you just hope you did everything right and the car will be fast from the start. The new car is so much different from last year, not only because of the color of the image but also because of the new rules. ”

"We want the new rules to bring more happenings on the track and offer us the opportunity for some really resounding achievement."

The Haas team finished last season in fifth place overall, which is their best ranking since they competed in Formula 1. However, due to their own mistakes, both the team and the racers wasted many opportunities for an even better ranking.

“It’s important that we progress as a team all the time,” said team leader Gunther Steiner.

"Although last season was the best for us so far, we also made quite a few mistakes from which we have to learn and get better."

Rich Energy has been looking for its Formula 1 opportunity for more than a year. They initially spoke to the Force India team, where they eventually refused to cooperate.
