Romain Grosjean is confident he has developed into a better racer after mistakes last season. The Frenchman was read a series of initial mistakes, the worst at the Belgian Grand Prix, where he triggered a chain collision at the start of the race, earning him a ban from appearing in the next race in Italy. But the Lotus racer believes such incidents have made him better and stronger, and he is ready to put lessons from last season into practice this year.

“The punishment was very severe, but we accepted it and that’s it,” he said. “Maybe it took me a little longer to get back in shape than I initially thought. I was shocked that it took me so long.
The season was exciting and interesting, with ups and downs. It used to be hard, but I worked a lot on my own, and now it’s time to see if it pays off on the track.

I came to many insights last year and I hope these will come in handy this year. I am ready for the season and I am already looking forward to it, ”adds Grosjean.
