Goodyear will give 26 euros to 2000 schools

Among the applications received for the competition "Hand in hand for the safety of children!" the commission selected 26 slovenian primary schools that submitted the best projects or strategies for improving traffic safety in their surroundings. Goodyear Dunlop Sava Tires, which is organizing the competition in cooperation with the Council for Prevention and Education in Road Traffic of the Public Agency of the Republic of Slovenia for Traffic Safety (AVP), will donate a donation of 2.000 euros to each of the selected schools. purchase of equipment and other elements for the safe participation of students in traffic and educational activities in the field of traffic education.

 

“Traffic safety for children is a very important topic for Goodyear Dunlop Sava Tires, not only in September, when school starts, but all year round. That is why we decided to create a special fund for greater safety of children in traffic during the Goodyear spring sales campaign, in which 4 euros were allocated for each purchase of 10 high-performance Goodyear summer tires. I am sincerely glad that we will be able to help primary schools raise the level of traffic safety in their surroundings for students, ”she said on this occasion. “Reading the essays was a very interesting task, as the children wrote extremely fun and interesting, as well as tense stories. I was most convinced by those who really let their imagination run wild and let it go wild, ”commented the literary part of the competition, a member of the commission and Goodyear, the security ambassador. Alenka Godec. The commission read as many as 70 essays and selected the 26 best, for each school that won a grant. In the second phase of the competition, students, the authors of these essays, will compete in the preparation of a new text for the already existing anthem of traffic safety entitled Traffic. “We will select the best five texts, and the final winner will be announced on June 11, when this year's competition will take place as part of the project Hand in Hand for Child Safety! ended with a fun event that will take place at the Zadobrova Primary School in Ljubljana. The winning text of the anthem will be sung by Zlatko and Alenka Godec, and its author will become the first Junior Security Ambassador for one year. He will receive a practical award for his class and join the other Goodyear security ambassadors Alenka Godec, Andrej Jereb, Jani Žemlja and Damjan Novak, ”explained Romana Stare.
