Lewis Hamilton is the winner of the F1 race for the Russian Grand Prix in Sochi, which was heavily spiced up by rain in the last laps, and the Briton celebrated his 100th race of his career. The Mercedes racer overtook the leading Land Norris in the last laps, who insisted on dry track tires for too long during a heavy downpour and slipped to seventh place. After winning his first best starting position, the McLaren racer also hoped for his first victory in Formula 1, but he used the wrong tactics.

Lando Norris took a risk and stayed on the wet track with dry track tires, and was left without stairs.

Dutchman Max Verstappen, who started the race from behind due to a penalty for a collision with Hamilton in Monza, and the use of an additional engine, broke through to the second place from the very last, 20th place.

The last step on the winners' stage was taken by the Spaniard Carlos Sainz with a Ferrari.
