France's L'equipe reports that France is returning after a ten-year absence from the Formula One championship racing calendar. The French Grand Prix will be on the race calendar for the 2018 season, and the contract they signed is valid for five seasons.

The race was last hosted by the French Magny Cours, and now the Grand Prix will be held on the super modern Paul Ricard track at the end of August 2018. The track has so far been mainly tested, and there is also a system for artificial irrigation of the track.

The news will be officially confirmed at a news conference Monday.
