Formula 1 confirmed the new start times of the 2021 races

formula 1 confirmed that races will no longer start ten minutes past three o’clock this year. New owners of the championship, Liberty Medium, moved the start of the races from 14:00 to 15:10, which should attract more spectators in the USA, and a ten-minute delay from the full hour should make it easier for the media that broadcast the races to prepare the program before the race.

"Some broadcasts start at exactly the hour, so that spectators do not experience the tension and emotional moments before the race," they argued the change at the time. The new start time of the races did not bring a significant increase in viewership, nor was it too popular within Formula 1, as the ten-minute delay somewhat complicated the preparations for the race during all the ceremonies taking place before the race.

The teams therefore discussed the possibility of returning to the old schedule before the start of this season, and Formula 1 has now also confirmed that most European races will start at 14 pm local time, and all of them will start at full time.
