Pernat: Bastianini reminds me of Stoner

After two years competing for satellite teams – first for Avintia, and last year for Gresini, Enea Bastianini will be a member of the Ducati factory team for the next two seasons, sharing the garage with current world champion Francesco Bagnaio.

Last year, Bastianini repeatedly proved that he is capable of competing equally with his new teammate. This year will certainly be no different when it comes to expecting both of them to fight for the world title. What will be their relationship and how it will affect the fight for the title is one of the main topics before the start of the new season. Bastianini has already proven that he doesn't mind the team's orders too much. Nevertheless, it must be emphasized that his maneuvers were mostly clean and that he rarely crossed the line in the fight with Bagnaio.

Carlo Pernat, Eneja Bastianini's manager, is convinced that his protégé will not look back on team games. He even compared him to former Ducati racer Casey Stoner.

"Enea is a very tough racer. He certainly won't be getting into team games. You and Francesco are completely different. Pecco is fast and consistent, while Enea is more like Stoner. An extraordinary warrior who overtakes even when it seems impossible.”

"At Ducati, they somewhat unwittingly created a rivalry last season, which they will have to be able to control this year."

"At the same time, it is necessary to add various bonuses that Enea has included in the contract. If he finishes in the top three, his income will increase significantly. That is precisely why Aeneas should not be expected to submit to anyone."

Kotnik Nejc will clearly be limping in the end, but Mr. Pernat usually doesn't speak by heart. I live near Italy and I follow their media a lot, and I have to say that this gentleman just guesses what he says. They jokingly call him "divino" (divine). The guy moves behind the scenes and is quite well versed, so let's be surprised

Of course, there will be something from it comparing the same corner and driving style...
