The owners of the Formula One championship, Liberty Media, have also officially confirmed the purchase of Dorna and thus the majority share of the motorcycle world championships MotoGP, WSBK, and MotoE, for which they are expected to pay 4,2 billion euros.

Liberty Media will now own 86% of the MotoGP championship, while 14% will remain owned by the leaders of the championship.

The purchase should be finally approved by the end of the year, as it will be examined in detail by the European authorities and authorities for the protection of competition.
