After the end of the national championship season, Rok Turk also finished with a very successful European season. Competing in races from Northern Ireland to Bulgaria was definitely a big challenge that Rok tackled together with Peugeot Slovenia and the OPV team.
They also successfully managed to carry out the project of the premiere performance of the Slovenian crew with a R5 class car, with which Rok and his co-driver Blanka Kacin won their first appearance at the Saturnus Rally Velenje. The Peugeot 208 T16 with a Slovenian crew was of course enthusiastically received by local fans, the four-wheel drive car with an attractive appearance was a real feast for the eyes, and the final victory in the rally for the FIA European Rally Cup was the highlight of the entire R5 car project.
Even in races where Rok competed in a R2 class car, which has front-wheel drive, he always showed his competitors that they have to take him seriously. In achieving top results, Blanka Kacin read his notes at the beginning of this season
season and in the second part of Martin Lazar. Sympathetic co-drivers, Rok's kindness and openness to the fans and attractive driving on speed tests - all this convinced many fans of the rally in the countries where they performed, that he became their big fan. And there were more of them from rally to rally, which was clearly seen both in the speed trials and when the racers socialized with the fans.
After a long season of racing both in Europe and in the national championship, the second peak of the season followed, the second victory in the general classification at the rally for the FIA European Rally Cup, this time at the rally Sredna Gora in Bulgaria. And this with the R2 class car, as with the Peugeot 208 R2 it beat all the competition, even those with more powerful cars. At the same time, in the direct fight, he also decided in his favor the final ranking in the total for the 2015 season, where three racers with the same number of points were tied in 3rd place before the last race.
Appearance in six races of the FIA European Rally Cup, ranking in the highest places and as many as two victories in the general classification are achievements that confirm the excellent work of the team and the right approach to racing at such a high level. The fantastic final 3rd place in the FIA European Rally Cup is definitely an achievement that Rok, together with Peugeot Slovenia and the OPV team, is more than proud of.
