Ducati and Marc Marquez: There is mutual interest

Marc Marquez is said to be on the radar of the Italian Ducati, and the Spaniard is said to be ready to wave goodbye to Honda if he does not get a rival motorcycle.

The former manager of the Marquez brothers, Emilio Alzamora, who negotiated the transfer of Alex Marquez to the Gresini team, says that Marc Marquez will also look for other options at the end of his contract with Honda, if Honda does not offer him a competitive motorcycle. "Everything will depend on Honda," he said. “If they put together a motorcycle that can win the championship, then it will be fine, but Marc is a winner by nature and he only races to be champion. And I think Marc will change his mind about Honda if things don't improve in the next two years."

But Alzamora admitted that Ducati has put together a great bike, but the Italian motorcycle manufacturer may not even need Marquez anymore. "Ducati has a competitive motorcycle and at the start they have eight bikes in strong teams, and they conclude contracts with young and strong racers. They will probably always be interested in Marquez anyway, but maybe at the moment they don't need him as badly as they used to."
