Dorna has filed a formal claim against the KymiRing circuit over outstanding debts after the scheduled premier race in Finland was again cancelled.

According to the original plan, the first race at this venue was supposed to take place in 2020, but it was canceled due to the epidemic. In addition, due to the financial problems of the organizers, work on the race track was greatly delayed. Until this year, we did not see the race in Finland, as it was postponed for the third time.

The Finnish newspaper Yle announced that in the meantime, two companies that participated in the construction should declare bankruptcy, as they did not receive payment for the work.

Now, according to the organizers, they are supposed to "hit" Dorna as well. They have now joined the list of creditors who demand repayment of funds from them. The figure is said to be around 6,4 million euros and is related to the promotion contract. The bill, which the organizers have not yet paid, even though it was supposed to be issued already in 2021.

The aforementioned race will thus be replaced by a venue in Kazakhstan at the beginning of July next year.
