Disappointed Rossi: Same story again

Valentino Rossi was very disappointed after the race in Thailand, which he finished in eighth place. As he pointed out, he again had a lot of trouble at the end of the race with worn tires.

The Italian started Sunday's test well and broke from ninth place to sixth. Subsequently, his progress stopped, and at the end he was overtaken by Suzuki racers Alex Rins and Joan Mir.

The problems were mainly caused by the wear of the rear tire. He finished the race as Yamaha's worst racer, 19 seconds behind Fabio Quartararo.

“Today’s race was unfortunately very similar to the previous ones. I quickly had trouble gripping the rear tire. Because of that, I had to slow down, which meant another bad race. ”

The nine-time world champion was particularly disappointed, as he was supposed to have a very competitive rhythm on the morning warm-up on used tires.

“I am disappointed, because I was able to drive very competitive times even after nineteen laps in the morning warm-up. That’s why I was hoping for good races. We have been dealing with such problems for the last few races. We have four more races ahead of us, where we will try to solve problems and be more competitive. ”

Despite today's result, Rossi remains in sixth place in the overall standings, but his lag behind teammate Maverick Vinales is now 18 points. At the same time, he has only two points ahead of today's second Fabio Quartararo.
