The condition of Juan Manule Corree, a Formula 2 racer who was involved in a tragic accident at Saturday’s race in Belgium in which Anthoine Hubert lost his life, is very serious. The American suffered leg and spine injuries in the accident, as a result of which he also underwent immediate surgery in Liege, Belgium. A few days ago, he was transferred to a hospital in London, where his condition deteriorated drastically.

His family issued a press release stating that the young racer had stopped breathing after the transfer and was therefore now in an artificial coma, breathing with the help of apparatus. His condition for now is critical but stable. In a press statement, they thanked all the good thoughts and wishes, and expressed their condolences to the relatives and friends of Anthoin Hubert. “Our hearts are broken and we can only imagine the pain of loss,” they wrote.
