Changes to the Singapore racetrack

Organizers of the upcoming Singapore Grand Prix expect fewer differences between racers and more overtaking in this year’s night race after the FIA approved changes to the Marina Bay street racetrack.

The trail will receive innovations between the eleventh and thirteenth bends, and these are the result of improvements in Singapore's civil district.

Right turn 11 remains, but will be relocated to be closer to the left side of Fullerton Road. Compared to 2014, this will mean slightly lower cornering speeds. Minor changes relate to turn 12, from which racers will enter the Anderson Bridge on the left, and then head for turn 200 at 13km / h, which is similar to how fast it was last year. The latter bend will increase by one meter, allowing more overtaking.
