  Peugeot has unveiled a prototype race car that will take Sebastien Loeb to a time trial at the end of June towards the top of the legendary Pikes Peak mountain speed race in the US. Important details of the attractive Peugeot 208 T16 remain hidden. It is known, however, that the car will have two differentials with automatic locking, and a lot of rear wings, which Peugeot uses on its 908 car racing series Le Mans. The V6 engine also comes from the same car, developing just over 596 kW or 800 horsepower.

Sebastien Loeb will take part in the famous Pikes Peak mountain speed race this year. The nine-time world rally champion will compete in a Peugeot 208 T16, where the French carmaker wants to repeat the success with the legendary 405, which was won by both Ari Vatanen and Robby Unser.
