Yamaha’s semi-factory racer Cal Crutchlow is looking forward to the inaugural race in Qatar next Sunday. Optimistic, due to the good results of the tests performed, he firmly rejects hints of any help to Jorget Lorenz in defending the world title, as some have hinted.

In the last royal class tests, the English racer of Yamaha's Tech 3 semi-factory team, Cal Crutchlow, proved to be excellent. With good results, he proved that this year he has the opportunity for excellent rankings in races. Because of this, many are wondering and hinting that he will help defend the title of world champion, the Spaniard Jorget Lorenzo, this season.

As Cal said, he has no interest in helping anyone in battles like this. He also stressed that the agreement is not with Yamaha, but with Herve Poncharal. "If I were to drive a factory Yamaha, I would like to win on my own, but I will still do my best to achieve the best possible results with a semi-factory motorcycle."

Crutchlow's wish would be to ride such an engine as Lorezno. “I am confident I would have achieved better results with a factory motorcycle,” said the 27-year-old Englishman.
