Nicolo Bulega is the winner of the first race of the new Superbike class season. The current world champion of the Supersport class celebrated his debut in the Superbike class with a dominant ride. Andrea Locatelli was second, and Andrea Iannone, also a debutant in this class, was third.

Toprak Razgatlıoğlu scored the fourth goal. In his first race for BMW, the Turk took fifth place, as the stewards gave him a 1,2-second penalty for stopping too quickly. The minimum mandatory time is one minute and two seconds. Fourth was Alex Lowes.

Even the opening race of the season served up exceptional events on the track. Especially in the first laps, when we saw many overtakes right at the top. At the start of the second lap, the debutant Andrea Iannone took the lead, who was later overtaken by Nicolo Bulega. Reigning world champion Alvaro Bautista made a mistake in the tenth turn of the fourth round and crashed. The Spaniard picked up the motorcycle and continued with the race at the very beginning. Nevertheless, by the end of the race, he managed to make it to fifteenth place, thus winning one point. Jonathan Rea, on his first appearance for Yamaha, only finished seventeenth.

After changing tires halfway through the race, Bulega only increased his advantage over his competitors and sovereignly held the lead until the end of the race.
