Bradl surprised with the best starting position

Stefan Bradl will start the race for the United States Grand Prix from the best starting position. The German won at the expense of the fall of Marco Marquez. With a time of 1: 21.176, he was two hundredths of a second better than the Spaniard.

Bradl set his fastest time thirty seconds before the end, although it looked like Marquez would easily get to qualifying as well. Racer Repsol Honde tried to improve his best time 1: 21.193, but fell. The Spaniard didn’t have time for another quick lap and so Bradl won his first pole position in the MotoGP series.

Alvaro Bautista, who was 1: 21.373 better than Valentino Rossi 1: 21.418, made sure that the first starting line was entirely Honda. Cal Crutchlow, who fell in fourth practice, was only able to drive for the fifth time, as he only drove the fast lap in the final moment. He was detained in the garage by a technical malfunction of the motorcycle.

Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa, both with damaged collarbones, were sixth and seventh. The last three places in the top ten went to Andrea Dovizioso, Bradley Smith and Nicky Haydn.
