Marco Bezzecchi thanked his mentor and role model Valentino Rossi after his first victory in the elite class. As he emphasized, he would not have been able to achieve this result without his help and support.

Bezzecchi already showed good form in Portimao when he finished third in Sunday's race. He rested even better in Argentina. Already on Saturday, he took second place in the sprint race. He probably would have won by then if the race had lasted just a lap longer. That's why he brought himself and the team their first victory with a dominating performance on Sunday.

"Fantastic, it is something that cannot be described. It's been a long road for me, but this moment has finally arrived. When I saw the rain in the morning, I was angry, because I felt very good driving in the dry."

"But in the warm-up I was very fast and confident, so I believed that even in such conditions I could win."

The Italian made an outstanding start to his second season in the elite class. After two race weekends, he leads the overall standings. With yesterday's result, he joined Bagnaia and Morbelli as the third member of Rossi's racing academy to win in the elite class. But Bezzecchi will forever be written down in history with special letters, as he won in Valentino Rossi's team.

"I am very happy. Especially for the team, because without them, Valentino and his academy, I wouldn't have been able to do this."

"Valentino has been my idol since childhood. It all started because of him. That I was able to meet him, become his friend and win for his team is incredible."

"I must also mention the family. Everyone believed in me, gave up many things to allow me to realize my dream."
