With a new Le Mans track record of 1: 31.148, Enea Bastianini set the fastest time of the second free MotoGP practice in France, and racer Gresini Ducati immediately found himself on the ground, but fortunately he was not injured.

The second time of training, in which as many as fourteen racers are ranked within one second, was set by Aleix Espargaro, and again Alex Rins was fast with Suzuki. Two more Ducats were in the top five, namely the local Johann Zarco, who spectacularly drove off the track in the fast second turn and returned to the track in the third turn through the sand of the excursion zone, and Francesco Bagnaia, who this time for five a thousandth of a second overtook his title contender, Fabio Quartararo in sixth place.

Brad Binder also finished in the top ten of the racers, who are guaranteed entry into the second part of the qualifiers, ahead of Joan Mir, who fell in the seventh turn and smashed one of his motorcycles, Jorge Martin and Jack Miller.

Pol Espargaro, the fastest racer of the first practice, was thirteenth this time, and teammate Marc Marquez, who also spectacularly saved himself from falling in the afternoon training, was fourteenth.
