Francesco Bagnaia was the fastest in the third freestyle MotoGP training in Germany, and the top five included Aleix Espargaro, Jack Miller, Johann Zarco, Jorge Martin and Fabio Quartararo, who had to give up the last quick lap after his defensive helmet removed visor.
Seventh was Joan Mir ahead of Takaki Nakagami, who fell in the final minutes of training. Thanks to the Japanese, yellow flags were hoisted in the first sector, preventing some racers from setting up a fast time. Ninth was Maverick Vinales and tenth was Miguel Oliveira, who was half a second behind Bagnaio. All racers from the top ten qualified for the Q2 part of the qualifications.
