Francesco Bagnaia set the fastest time of the second free practice in Mugello with a time of 1: 46.732. The second time was set by Fabio Quartararo, ahead of Danilo Petrucci, Paul Espargaro and Maverick Vinales. Marc Marquez was at the top most of the practice, but at the end he finished in fifth place after most of the racers improved their times. He was followed by Alex Rins, who set his fastest time right at the end.
Cal Crutchlow, Jack Miller and Franco Morbidelli also finished in the top ten. Andrea Dovizioso finished just behind the top ten. before Johann Zarco and Michele Pirro. Valentino Rossi, who this time focused on the race simulation, finished in eighteenth place, even worse for Jorge Lorenzo, who finished in twentieth.
