Bagnaia: I don't know what is the reason for the fall, I don't feel the best on the motorcycle at the moment

Francesco Bagnaia finished the premier race in India without points after crashing on the fourteenth lap of the race. Jorge Martin, with his second place, reduced his lead in the overall standings to only 13 points.

When asked what was the main reason for today's resignation, the Italian answered:

"I don't know exactly what happened. I decided to use the hardest tire compound in the front, while the rest of the Ducatis had a medium hardness. I had a lot of brake problems throughout the weekend. The rear part of the motorcycle danced a lot, and the front often blocked. I had to drive completely at the limit if I wanted to stay in the front and when you drive at full speed you can also fall. Marco was simply too strong today, but I was able to fight for second place with Jorge."

"The rhythm was similar to yesterday. But I made a mistake that I shouldn't have made in this part of the season."

"Usually I'm the strongest on the brakes, but today it wasn't like that. We don't know exactly why, but we have to find a reason to race in Japan."

"I apologized to the team for the mistake. I don't feel the best on the motorcycle at the moment."
