At the Thuringian Rally among the top half

With the performance of Tim Novak (this time Florjan Rus was exceptionally sitting in the hot co-driver's seat, as Uroš Ocvirk had to cancel his performance due to personal reasons) at the Thuringian Rally, this year's season in the German Opel Adam Cup turned into the second half. With seventh place (out of fifteen crews at the start), our 22-year-old racer forgot about the accident from the previous rally in the best possible way.

After 138 kilometers of speed trials at the rally, which was as long as 385 kilometers, our crew won seventh place, and in the overall standings remained in sixth place. “I’m basically happy with seventh place, because after the accident at the Sulingen Rally, I wasn’t sitting in the Opel Adam Cup, so to speak. The rally was extremely fast and the roads were not in the best condition, so getting the right feelings or looking for the limit of grip was not the easiest task, "said Leščan. "This time I also had a new co-driver with me, but luckily we met immediately. The fact is that this is my first season in Germany, so I am satisfied with the ranking among the better half, "he added.

The upcoming race will be a real treat, as they will take part in the Deutschland Rally, which is also considered the World Championship, from 18 to 21 August. As the rally will also be long and demanding, the Opel Cup will be counted separately every day.
