At Ducati, they are not impressed with the transfer of Marquez

Ducati boss Paolo Ciabatti has repeatedly emphasized in the past that Marc Marquez is not interested in the Italian motorcycle manufacturer's team, as they would rather give younger racers a chance. With rumors growing that the eight-time world champion will be racing their bike under the Gresini team in 2024, which he says are probably not entirely made up, he is still not keen on working with Marquez, but says the decision is up to Gresini and Honda.

"Ducati's view is clear, but Gresini is an independent team where they can have their own wishes," said Ciabatti, for whom Marc Marquez on Gresini's Ducati would be a double-edged sword. On the one hand, Ducati would get another strong racer, and on the other hand, the factory racer would get a tougher opponent. "For now, we will wait and see what happens and if something like that happens, we will try to deal with it in the best possible way.

I have nothing more to add. As far as we know, both Honda drivers are under contract until the end of next season, but what is happening is between them, Honda and Gresini. But usually when there are rumors in the paddock, they are the only ones that contain at least a grain of truth."
