At the Littermont Rally, Asja Zupanc and co-driver Blanka Kacin finished fifth in the overall standings and fourth in Group N. The race was spiced with low temperatures, snow, rain and ice. Tires played an important role, but it was hard to hit with a choice. The Zupanc-Kacin crew chose the right tires that gave them good times. After five speed trials, they took third place in the overall standings and second in Group N. They defended their place until the circular twenty-kilometer test, where they first experienced a small trip from the track, then their tire burst, and he gave up. gearbox on their Mitsubishi Lancer.
The gap behind the leading Gassner-Thanhauser team became too great, so the girls focused on maintaining their position. In the following stages, their advantage over the Stix-Bonhage team steadily waned, and third gear finally gave up. By the end of the race, Blanka and Asja had lost another 50 seconds, and the rally finished in fifth place overall, and fourth in Group N.
The girls are happy with the result depending on the circumstances, and now they are already preparing for next weekend, when the Austrian Rebenland rally, which is considered the Mitropa Cup, will take place. This is the main goal of Asja and Blanka this season.
