Only a day after it was announced that the Argentine test would host the start of the season for MotoGP class racers, only this one was postponed due to the virus.
The outbreak of Coronavirus and the associated travel restrictions have already led to the cancellation of the race in Qatar for elite class racers, and the race was postponed first to Thailand and then to Austin. However, when it already seemed that we would be able to follow the elite class of motorcycling in Argentina in April, the authorities there took a measure to cancel all sporting events.
Dorna announced today that the race in Argentina will be postponed to the November date, on November 22.11.2020, 29.11.2020. According to the previous version of the calendar, the racers would have to compete in Valencia at that time. The finals of the season will be on the program on November XNUMX, XNUMX. All this means that the racers will have a very busy end to the season this year, as there will be two consecutive races twice. The traditional “Asian trio” (Japan, Australia, Malaysia) will be followed by the last three races of the season in a row (Austin, Argentina, Valencia) after a fourteen-day break.
The season for MotoGP racers does not start until May 3, when the race in Jerez will take place.
