Felipe Massa hopes his Williams team in Abu Dhabi will be able to hit Mercedes with a win.
Williams is enjoying a much better season this year than in previous years, but despite numerous rankings in the top three, the top podium has remained unattainable. The experienced Brazilian, however, sensed an opportunity in the duel of Mercedes racers for the title of champion.
“If Lewis doesn’t get the best start tomorrow, we might be able to overtake him. He may also feel some pressure at the moment, which isn’t even surprising, given what happened to him every time he fought for the championship title. We will see, but if the opportunity is offered, we will seize it, ”explained Massa, who is aware that Lewis loses the title due to the duel with the Williams racer, but he does not lose much. "I risk less, but they risk a little more, so they will have to think twice about how they will react when they try to overtake, and we can attack with more confidence."
The Brazilian will start the race from the third starting place, just behind the Mercedes, and his teammate Valtteri Bottas will also be in the second starting line.
